<br />
<h2>
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">The Subconscious Mind Never Sleeps</span></h2>
<h3>
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Its always listening</span></h3>
<br />
<span style="color: #444444;">So you've finally got yourself together and wrote down some goals? Well done, because you are well on your way to the <b>brilliant zone</b>. Before we move any further, I would just like to state how important it is to manage your money in this world. In fact its extremely important The last words that my father ever spoke to me, before he passed on were "Son, with out money in this world your nothing, if you have money no one tells you what to do, and if you don't have it," well I think you know the rest don't you. So in order to be in control of your life you need to control your finances. If money is tight then you need to be a little tighter on your control. Look the thing is, if you follow what I suggest in this blog, you aren't going to have any money worries.</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444;">So you have written down your goals, and you haven't told anyone about them </span><span style="color: #444444;">have you? </span><span style="color: #444444;">(see my last post) Good.</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444;">Now remember I was talking about the wonderful method of chunking? Well I hope that's what you have being doing with your wonderful goals or at least some of them. </span><br />
<span style="color: #444444;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444;">Now what I want you to do after you have read this post is find yourself a quiet spot and relax. Take all the time in the world until you feel relaxed and composed. If you have screaming rug rats around the house, this is not the time to do it, you need to find a space where you are on your own and you are not going to be disturbed.</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444;">Right you are on your own now, so the only thing you need to do is de-clutter that mind of yours and settle down, letting go of any negative thoughts (I like to light an incense stick at this stage). Now you should have your goals written down on a pad. Have a look at the first goal you want to achieve and get a real feel for it, as in really think how much you want this, and what it would mean to you. Next look at the first chunk of this goal, and ask yourself out loud,</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444;"> "What do I need to do in order to achieve this goal?" Then sit back, close your eyes and wait for the answer. When the answer arrives (which it will) then ask yourself </span><span style="color: #444444;">"What is the easiest way for me to do this," and relax until the answer comes.</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444;">What we are doing above is using the power of our <b>subconscious mind</b>. What ever questions you we throw at it they shall be answered, and it has got some amazing answers, believe me.</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444;">I am not going to go any further today, I want you to learn to relax and get used to firing questions at your subconscious mind. Fine tune your questions so that they really test the subconscious Don't be surprised if you wake up in be in the middle of the night shouting eureka. Don't think just because you have switched off that your subconscious has, oh no!! it will still be trying to find the answers to those questions which you gave it earlier. </span><br />
<span style="color: #444444;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444;">The <b>subconscious mind</b> never sleeps, its always awake in the background listening, and monitoring your life, it knows more about us than ourselves.. More about that in my next post.</span>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01646608570620940824noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5678704736873748561.post-8062585144048743982013-06-22T13:30:00.000-07:002013-06-24T00:22:44.634-07:00Get your SHIZZ together<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<h2>
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: x-large;">Setting Goals</span></h2>
<h3>
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span></h3>
<h3>
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">So you want to hit the back of the net</span></h3>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">It's easy <b>setting goals</b>, its a doddle (I like that word) to achieve them. There is one simple rule that I use to when I set out to achieve goals and that's chunking (I like that word also). I wouldn't set out to achieve goals without chunking. Why? Because its a winner and I love anything that allows me to win win win.</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">What is chunking? Well its breaking your goals into easy to do bite size chunks so that they are manageable, achievable, and gaugeable You want to be able see that you are making progress towards your end target don't you? Yes because its good for the soul.</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Lets give you and example. If I wanted to write a book (which is something I do) and I set out for at least 40,000 words it may appear to be a long tedious task if I only had the end goal in sight. What I do is set my self a target of one thousand words a day, which is easy for me as I can write around 5,000 words in a sitting. At that rate, I will have created my draft in around 40 days and lets say one week for editing. </span><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Hey presto in around two months there's</span><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"> my book. You get the picture?</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">You may want to buy a car, but the price is way out of your league, but if you chunk it down its possible. You can break it down into small enough chunks over a long enough period, then anything is achievable, the only thing that is stopping you is yourself. It could be a Porsche or a Lamborghini for 4o grand, chunk it and have the patience for ten years and you will be driving it, believe me. though you could just keep telling yourself that you will never have it and guess what, you will prove yourself right.</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">When you are setting goals you must take other people out of the equation and whatever you do please don't go about telling others what your plans are because they are bound to fail. A little bit of silent power is needed here. If you don't understand what silent power is read this book by Stuart Wilde its the best book that I have ever read, scouts honour on that.</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><iframe frameborder="0" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" scrolling="no" src="http://rcm-uk.amazon.co.uk/e/cm?t=wwwfaultyboil-21&o=2&p=8&l=as1&asins=1561705365&ref=qf_sp_asin_til&fc1=000000&IS2=1&lt1=_blank&m=amazon&lc1=F500FF&bc1=000000&bg1=CCE5E2&npa=1&f=ifr" style="height: 240px; width: 120px;"></iframe>
</span>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">He will tell you things that will change you life.</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Any way back to setting goals...</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b>One goal that you need to set yourself</b> is to surround yourself with positive people (like myself) who want to see you do well. Its amazing the effect that negative energy can have on what you want to achieve. There are people that always want to rain on your parade, yeah you know the ones am talking about don't you? so what the hell are you doing with them? You have to begin a clear out of all the dead wood, the people who are (pardon my French) bringing all the shit to your table. Your<b> goal setting </b>now and you want to move on, don't you? I hope you do.</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b>Get a pen and start writing them down</b>, if you need any help just ask and I will try and point you in the right direction. I have got all the time in the world for those who are setting goals and want to make it go the brilliant zone.</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Wait until till you see my next post, I am going to show you a little bit of magic and you would be daft to miss it. <b>Its very powerful stuff</b>.</span><br />

<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: x-large;"><b>Setting Your Goals and Breaking Free</b></span></h2>
<h3>
<span style="color: #666666; font-size: large;">What Zone are you in?</span></h3>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">So you have finally had enough of getting up in the morning and doing the same old thing. You feel like you are travelling in circles on a merry go round, same old routine day in day out. In fact you cant even be bothered getting out of be in the mornings, and you ask yourself what's the point. You haven't got enough money to spend on what you want, and you are just about paying the bills, life's a struggle.</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Sounds to me like your in the grey zone, but wait, it could be worse, you could be in the awful zone, now there's a place you don't want to be. </span><br />
<h4>
<span style="color: #666666;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I am going to ask you a few questions - let us see what your answers are.</span></span></h4>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<ul>
<li><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Do you have anything to look forward to in the future?</span></li>
<li><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Do you love getting out of bed in the mornings?</span></li>
<li><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Do you take a holiday at least once a year?</span></li>
<li><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Can you afford to buy the things that you want?</span></li>
<li><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Do have a job?</span></li>
<li><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Do you love your Job?</span></li>
<li><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Can you afford to join in all of the activities that your friends or partner may put forward?</span></li>
</ul>
<br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">If you answered no to two or more of these questions you are in the grey zone. </span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">If you answered no to three or more of them you are in the awful zone. </span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">If you answered yes to all of them, then you are in the brilliant zone and this particular post is not for you, because you're enjoying life, you lucky sod.</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h3>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><span style="color: #666666;">Setting Goals</span></span></h3>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">If you are in the awful zone, or the grey zone, how do you get out of it, you are probably thinking to yourself... Well you will need to set yourself a few goals, and go about achieving them.</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Now you need to set goals in a positive manner, as in... do not state what you 'don't want', state what you 'do want'.</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">i.e I don't want to be walking to work in a years time (<b>negative goals setting</b>).</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"> I want to be driving to work in a brand new car in a years time (<b>positive goal setting</b>).</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Generally if you have the words don't and can't in your goal setting then these are negative Remove them and take a different approach. <b>This is very important</b>.</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Here are some examples below of positive goal setting:</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<strong style="background-color: white;"><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">State the goal in positive terms.</span></strong><br />
<span style="background-color: white;"><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="background-color: white;"><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Describe the Present Situation and compare it with the desired future goal.</span></span><br />
<ul>
<li><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Where are you now?</span></span></li>
<li><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Where do you want to be?</span></span></li>
<li><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">What do you want?</span></span></li>
<li><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">State it in the positive (what you want to achieve).</span></span></li>
<li><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">What are you going toward?</span></span></li>
</ul>
<div>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Ok now that I have given you the tools to find out where you are at the present point in time, and whether or not you need to address your situation. you need to spend a couple of hours setting goals. Look at the examples above and take your time. </span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I shall be back in a couple of days, to empower your goal building process.</span></div>
<br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjki4sfofaBSjvRhcPb7DqhbRG7WQdnUQzlIPXgHyzmkUwjs8ysBeIPBCDXaRrItVbzTlEr2fAkVq23wNs7z0fBWq5cvRWkNpvoMqIkeFfkdzFl7PGfjoifnJaV0iNtkk5JNQAn6nfw_xY/s1600/star.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjki4sfofaBSjvRhcPb7DqhbRG7WQdnUQzlIPXgHyzmkUwjs8ysBeIPBCDXaRrItVbzTlEr2fAkVq23wNs7z0fBWq5cvRWkNpvoMqIkeFfkdzFl7PGfjoifnJaV0iNtkk5JNQAn6nfw_xY/s1600/star.jpg" /></a></div>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Just remember if you answered no to two or more of the questions above, you need to make some changes in your life. remember the great thing about setting goals is that you can be as extravagant as you want,there are no limits and it is a process which should be fun, so reach for the stars with your goals and if you make half of them come true you will be in a totally different reality.</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="background-color: white; font-size: 14px; line-height: 16.890625px;"><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">The next time somebody tells you that setting goals is really a lot of hype, tell him/her this. "If life is a journey, how will you get there if you don’t have an itinerary? Goals tell you where you are going, how you are going to get there, and what you will do when you get there".</span></span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">As soon as you start writing your goals down and believing in them, you will already be taking a giant leap towards the 'Brilliant Zone' and that is where we all want to be. </span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Its not hard, at all, you just need to get the ball rolling.</span><br />

<h2>
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: x-large;">What you see is what you get...</span></h2>
<h4>
<span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: x-large;"><b><br /></b></span></h4>
<h3>
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">Are you a positive thinker? </span></h3>
<div>
<span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: x-large;"><b><br /></b></span></div>
<h4>
<span style="color: #444444;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b>Are you someone who focus's on what you want, or do you spend all of your time avoiding the things that you don't want in your life?</b></span><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b><br /></b></span><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b><br /></b></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="color: #444444;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b>If you do spend all of your time avoiding the things that you don't want then you will end up getting just that. </b></span></span><span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b><br /></b></span><span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b><br /></b></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b>Now if your thinking to yourself what kind of statement is that, let me explain. </b></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="color: #444444;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b>Your subconscious mind is a very powerful tool, which you have at your disposal, and it's here where we create all of our experiences. If you feed your subconscious mind enough information good or bad, it will go and get it for you, and that's a fact. You can build prisons or palaces with it.</b></span><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b><br /></b></span><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b><br /></b></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="color: #444444;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b>I changed my life by becoming aware of the power of the subconscious mind. I quickly realised that it is at the centre of my own reality.</b></span><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b><br /></b></span></span></h4>
<div>
<span style="color: #444444;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b><br /></b></span></span></div>
<h4>
</h4>
<h3>
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><b>The Car Test</b></span></h3>
<h4>
<span style="color: #444444;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b>Have you ever bought a new car, or somebody you know has bought a new car? Then before you know it you start to see that model of car everywhere don't you? It as though everyone has gone out and bought one right after you, and they're probably the same colour too. You see them on your way to work, or you tell yourself that you were not aware of how many people had these cars on your street. </b></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<b style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Well this is the subconscious mind at work. Because you are focusing on your car, it goes out of its way to find things just like what you are focusing on. </b></h4>
<h3>
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><b><br /></b></span></h3>
<h3>
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><b>Processing Data</b></span></h3>
<h4>
<span style="color: #444444;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b>We take in millions of bits of data ever second, different colours, smells, sounds, shapes, and our brains are constantly processing this data. The subconscious mind however, can only process around one hundred bits of data at a time, so it will only process what you are concentrating on.</b></span><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b><br /></b></span><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b><br /></b></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="color: #444444;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b>Now imagine if you are focusing on negative things, what do you think is going to happen? That's right you are going to get exactly what you are focusing on. </b></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="color: #444444;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b>Let us say you don't have much money, if you focus on not having any money, you will stay in that situation 'forever' believe me, I am telling you something that is totally true. Now you could focus on getting more money, but that would just be the same as saying that you had no money, so what do I need to do you may be asking yourself. You need to trick your subconscious mind into thinking that you already have the money and it will go and get it for you.</b></span><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b><br /></b></span><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b><br /></b></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="color: #444444;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b>I will tell you how to do that soon enough, so make sure that you come back and check out some life changing information. Information, that got me what I wanted, total happiness.</b></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<b><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I was writing on my last post about giving up alcohol, and the subconscious mind has got everything to do with it. You don't want to keep focusing on giving up alcohol, you want to focus on what you want to do instead. Find something that is more important than drinking, then go and immerse yourself into it. </span></b></h4>
<h4>
<b><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">You can also use some creative visualization techniques for designing goals that change your life. Then use the same techniques to go and achieve them same goals. </span></b></h4>
<h4>
<b><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"> You can set goals by learning how to ask yourself (the subconscious mind) the right questions.</span></b></h4>
<div>
<b><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">If you would like to start getting everything you want out of your life stay tuned, because we're heading to the brilliant zone.</span></b></div>

<span style="color: #666666;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: x-large;"><br /></span>
</span><br />
<h3>
<span style="color: #666666;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><b>1) You will save money (a lot of money)</b></span></span></h3>
<br />
<span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: x-large;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I don't think there is an easier way of wasting money than spending it on booze. That is why it is described as pissing it up the wall. We also lose our self control when we drink and this leads to us spending more money than we normally would, or worst still money that we cant afford to spend. Be honest with yourself, how many times have you woken up and the first thing you have thought of is how much you've spent? </span><br />
<span style="color: #444444;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Horrible isn't it? Exactly.</span></span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: x-large;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><b>2) Weight Loss</b></span><br />
<span style="color: #444444;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: x-large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Depending on how much you are drinking, you may well be piling on the pounds without noticing it. Alcohol is full of empty calories, and it is known to increase your appetite at an alarming rate. Just like spending money you haven't got, alcohol makes you throw away all of your inhibitions, like dieting and giving up smoking. Your aims and goals come second when you have been on the demon drink and all the hard work you have put it gets flushed down the drain.</span></span><br />
<span style="color: #444444;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">How many kebabs do you eat when you are not drinking?</span></span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: x-large;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><b style="background-color: white;">3) Improve Your Health.</b></span><br />
<span style="color: #444444;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: x-large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Alcohol is bad for you full stop. Apart from adding to your weight it is bad for all of the organs in the body, especially the brain. Did you know that over time alcohol turns the brain into a sort of sponge? No. Well they are not going to put that into any of their polished adverts are they. Your skin suffers to, it becomes dehydrated and shrivelled Have you seen the skin on the vagabonds in the park? Yes that's right bright orange and crinkly, this is due to liver damage and dehydration, you have been</span><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"> warned young lady with the glowing skin, this could be you after too many late nights out.</span></span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: x-large;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><b>4) Improve Your Sleep</b></span><br />
<span style="color: #444444;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: x-large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Are you having trouble sleeping? This could be down to alcohol. Its a misconception that alcohol promotes better sleep, in fact the opposite is true. Alcohol can help you to nod off, that is fair to say, but it interferes with the way that you function in your deep sleep (this is where you replenish your cells), you will be tossing and turning all night long. So the next time you are in work, feeling rough, remember the demon drink is to blame.</span></span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: x-large;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #666666; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><b>5) Hangovers</b></span><br />
<span style="color: #444444;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: x-large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Who likes hangovers? No one on this planet. Personally I cannot even stand the word hangover, it is a despicable word for me, it makes me heave. I prefer to use the words self and harm, because that is what you have done when you have a hangover, you have self-harmed. Now this might sound a little over the top but I can assure you that it is not. If you know what Alcohol does to you then why do it? There is nothing worse than going to work with a hangover, or having to attend some sort of formal function, its soul destroying.</span></span><br />
<span style="color: #444444;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">These are just some of the reasons why I stopped drinking alcohol, I have lots more, but I don't want to dwell on it. If you feel that you are drinking </span><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">just</span><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"> </span><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">for the sake of it, or you are over drinking, then you need to find something better to do. Make sure that you come back soon as I am going to be getting up close and personal and show you how I got to the brilliant zone in my life, and how you along with me can get there too, it easy.</span></span><br />
<span style="color: blue; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: x-large;"><br /></span>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01646608570620940824noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5678704736873748561.post-35735293167566451852013-06-09T08:52:00.003-07:002013-06-12T01:54:30.641-07:00Dropping the Alcohol<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigK9Mkac2RpcGwBVaeW1VVJuZ4nWEU0loqwNKQDWiYIl7zuCbqUI7CXv8r8B9zwwaWSbWL6dzJd31s3bjKuMiC5x94vfcZ04QARpw4vGMRbYMX0wXx370YHw3mGczpCI5Pv9EmryjRtG4/s1600/vino.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigK9Mkac2RpcGwBVaeW1VVJuZ4nWEU0loqwNKQDWiYIl7zuCbqUI7CXv8r8B9zwwaWSbWL6dzJd31s3bjKuMiC5x94vfcZ04QARpw4vGMRbYMX0wXx370YHw3mGczpCI5Pv9EmryjRtG4/s1600/vino.jpg" height="400" width="275" /></a></span></div>
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Right! Now that I've got that enormous wooden fence painted and the stuff which we brought back from yesterdays car boot put away, I can start having a quick chat with my beautiful people online.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">How are you all? Oh!! it's going that good is it? Great.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">I mentioned quickly in my last post about me giving up drinking alcohol. I had to as it was ruining my life, the fun had gone out of it, the show was over. I always thought that because I was having a really good time that everyone else was, but hey guess what? Yeah that's right they weren't. </span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">I become a bit of a party animal when I drink and I can never say enough is enough. My girlfriends great she can neck two bottles of wine and she just looks the same as when she started (but seriously I don't know whether that is a good thing though for health reasons), were as I only have to sniff a glass of lager and I am 'on one'.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Some people are meant to drink and some people aren't it really is that simple. I enjoy life more when I don't drink as hangovers really depress me. This is not the first time that I have given up drinking, I have gone over six months without a drink and I never touched no alcohol at all over the last two Christmases and New Years, which shows that I don't really need it. </span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">Another plus of not drinking is that I only smoke cigarettes when I drink, so my health is getting another double whammy bonus.</span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: large;">I've decided to write a few posts on why I find it so easy to stop drinking and why positive thinking is so influential in my life. I've got a lot of experiences to share, and feel that I can be of great influence to people who need it. </span></span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">As anyone who has read my last post already knows , I was attending a car boot with my partner on Saturday, up in Rhyl North Wales. Well I am pleased to inform you all that it went swimmingly, and we made a nice bit of cash (though we could not get rid of that double bread maker aaaaggghhh!!!!). </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br />
The sun was out and about, which it very rare in the British Isles these days, its like illusive yellow friend has been on a permanent vacation, and I wouldn't be exaggerating when I say we haven't had a decent summer for around five years now. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br />
So back to the boot sale, there is a knack to having a good boot sale that I must tell all of you want to be boot sales people, and that is in order to get attention to your stall you must dress well. Now I don't mean going down the boot sale with a bow tie and a black tuxs on as that would just be silly wouldn't it? What I mean is dressing presentable. If your going to wear a t-shirt make sure it is a quality brand and has been ironed. Throw a pair of shades on and if need be a blob of gel in the mop can go a long way towards booming sales. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br />
Its all about perception, and people are more willing to approach your goods, and hand over their hard earned cash if they think that it belonged to you, that well dressed dude swaggering around your pasting table. Another tip is don't smother the customers, leave them to do their thing, if they talk to you that's fine, and laugh, laugh like you have never laughed before, happy people spend money, that's a fact.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br />
You see bucket loads of different characters at boot sales, and they were out in their droves yesterday. There were a lot of warring couples of all ages which is always fun to see, we all like to see those two old cronies still bickering and hoping we will still have the same zest for an argument when we get to their age.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br />
Got quite a bit to do today, and as you probably guessed I have got to make a start on that dreaded fence, have I mentioned the fence?. I am going to throw some love at it today, because lets face it, I am not going to be painting it forever...am I? I certainly hope not.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br />
My girlfriends still in bed, as she was on the old red vino last night, were as I personally hate the feeling of hangovers, and the stories of what I've been up to when drunk, which has made me give up alcohol for good. Waking up on a Sunday morning fresh is the payback you get for not drinking on a Saturday night, and it is worth it. As said I have quite a bit to do today, and I feel right up for it, bring it on.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br />
Just having a little nose through the news today and here is something that caught my eye, speak soon peeps.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: small;">At the G8 food summit in London, 51 countries promised billions of pounds with the aim of saving 1.7 million children's lives by 2020. But questions remain about whether it will all arrive - and will it be enough?</span></div>

<div style="outline: none;">
<span style="font-size: small;">A major new offensive in the war on hunger, in which Britain will commit hundreds of millions of pounds in aid, was announced yesterday. The initiative, which aims to save the lives of 1.7 million children and drive down rates of malnutrition by 2020, was unveiled at an international "nutrition summit" in London, which David Cameron, the Prime Minister, co-hosted with Brazil's Vice-President, Michel Temer, and the Children's Investment Fund Foundation president Jamie Cooper-Hohn.</span></div>
<span style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: x-small;"></span><div class="body " style="color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 1.4; outline: none;">
<div style="outline: none;">
Britain, along with more than 50 other countries, signed up to a pledge to improve the nutrition of half a billion pregnant women and young children by 2020, and reduce the number of under-fives suffering stunted growth by 20 million. Another target set was to save the lives of at least 1.7million children by increasing breastfeeding and through better treatment of malnutrition. Delegates pledged £2.7bn in aid between now and 2020.</div>
<div style="outline: none;">
At another event in London, others pointed out that far more needs to be done. An estimated 45,000 people attended a mass demonstration in Hyde Park as part of a campaign by more than 200 charities and religious groups called Enough Food For Everyone IF. The coalition of organisations is calling for three steps to end world hunger: a clampdown on tax avoidance in the developing world, helping those in poor countries have enough food, and better land rights for those in developing nations.</div>
<div style="outline: none;">
But speaking before the announcement by Justine Greening, the International Development Secretary, of an extra £375m of core funding and £280m of matched funding to fight hunger, Mr Cameron showed he was aware that pledges alone would not save lives. Describing malnutrition and hunger as some of the "deepest problems the world faces" and a "massive issue for humanity", he warned: "It is not the commitments made today that will beat hunger – it's the way they are followed through tomorrow and the next day and the day after."</div>
<div style="outline: none;">
He called for a "transparency revolution" in the way that aid is carried out to ensure "real transparency about who is pledging what and making sure they deliver".</div>
<div style="outline: none;">
He added: "We will never beat hunger just by spending more money or getting developed nations and philanthropists to somehow 'do development' to the developing world. It has to be about doing things differently. It's all about helping those in developing countries take control of their own destiny."</div>
<div style="outline: none;">
Mr Cameron acknowledged the concerns over spending money on aid during a time of austerity, but said: "We accept the moral case for keeping our promises to the world's poorest even when we face challenges at home."</div>
<div style="outline: none;">
Giving aid also makes business sense, according to the Prime Minister. "There are countries in Africa whose GDP is 10 per cent lower than it would otherwise be because of the effect of stunting and malnutrition, so it is in their interests, it is in our interests, its in the whole world's interests that we deal promptly and decisively with this issue."</div>
<div style="outline: none;">
The statistics are stark. A billion people do not have enough to eat, and one in four children are stunted through chronic malnutrition – 165 million children are so malnourished by the age of two that their brains and bodies will never fully develop. About £6.17bn a year would be needed to save the lives of a million children under five who die of malnutrition annually, according to research in The Lancet last week.</div>
<div style="outline: none;">
Unless more countries come on board at the G8 summit in Northern Ireland next week the number of lives saved will be a fraction of the 21 million children expected to die from malnutrition between now and 2020.</div>
<div style="outline: none;">
Responding to the news, David Bull, executive director of Unicef and spokesman for the Enough Food for Everyone IF campaign, said: "Today has been a really important milestone, but we are not there yet. Pledges only make a difference when they get delivered. Children cannot wait." And José Graziano da Silva, director general of the Food and Agriculture Organization, warned: "The cost of inaction is too high: malnutrition kills millions every year, and damages billions of lives."</div>
<div style="outline: none;">
In Hyde Park, there was no shortage of demand for action. Myleene Klass and Gethin Jones hosted the event, and celebrities including David Beckham and comedians Eddie Izzard and Miranda Hart sent video messages.</div>
<div style="outline: none;">
Almost three decades after Live Aid, the rally had echoes of an earlier era. But while African artists were conspicuously absent from Live Aid, the Beninoise singer Angélique Kidjo was one of three performers yesterday. She said that a new approach was needed to tackling hunger in the developing world. "The world has moved rapidly from the time of Live Aid to now," she said. "Africa is a continent of 53 countries and we can't treat it as one country. We have to hold our leaders accountable, not just here, but in Africa, so that we're not just giving money to governments to do what they want with. The population have lost trust and confidence [in charities]. "They see these offices and big cars and not much being done to change their lives. We have to find a way to make people feel part of it."</div>
<div style="outline: none;">
But Richard Dowden, executive director of the Royal African Society, and the author of a report into the damage that Western countries, including the UK, have done in Africa through aid, said: "We've seen it all before and it hasn't worked up until now. If this was a small thing of just 'give some money and this child will be fed' it would have been done by now. It can only be solved from within, not from outside, and until there's a political will to do this, it isn't going to happen."</div>
<div style="outline: none;">
Mr Dowden believes campaigns such as IF can show that many involved in the multibillion-pound aid industry are acting in their own interests. "A lot are very self-serving and interested in growing their brand," he said.</div>
<div style="outline: none;">
Microsoft's founder, Bill Gates, who set up the IF campaign with Archbishop Desmond Tutu, spoke at the rally. He called hunger "the great travesty of our time", adding: "Providing developing countries with the means to feed their people is a vital part of lifting these communities out of the cycle of hunger and poverty."</div>
<div style="outline: none;">
His presence at a rally to challenge tax avoidance by global companies prompted accusations of hypocrisy, since Microsoft is accused of using legal tax avoidance schemes. Tax Research UK calculated that what Microsoft saves in global taxes equates to 3.5 per cent of the world's annual aid budget.</div>
<div style="outline: none;">
Not everyone was convinced, however. Hamy Ismiel, 55, a surgeon from Wakefield, West Yorkshire, said: "It just doesn't work. You can campaign as much as you like but whatever happens, happens. I think the intentions are good but I don't know that it'll work."</div>
<div style="outline: none;">
<strong style="outline: none;">Hyde Park vox pop</strong></div>
<div style="outline: none;">
"I think it's good for people to talk about it but I'm fairly cynical about how much effect things like this really have. I'm not sure it actually results in people eating more."</div>
<div style="outline: none;">
<em style="outline: none;">Claire Harpur, 25; Lawyer from Wimbledon</em></div>
<div style="outline: none;">
"The sole purpose of events like this is publicity, so that people are talking about the issues and getting involved. But this doesn't seem to have had a lot of publicity, so I'm not sure it's worked."</div>
<div style="outline: none;">
<em style="outline: none;">Neha Pathak, 24; Doctor from south London</em></div>
<div style="outline: none;">
"I get the impression that there's enough food in the world to feed all of us. You've only got to look in this country, where obesity seems to be quite a major problem. I think it's very good that we do highlight hunger."</div>
<div style="outline: none;">
<em style="outline: none;">Chris Green, 72; Retired accountant from Worthing</em></div>
<div style="outline: none;">
"This is bringing diverse communities together to try to tackle one of the biggest problems our world faces. We choose our politicians and have a say in where the money goes."</div>
<div style="outline: none;">
<em style="outline: none;">Toyris Miah, 22; Charity fundraiser from Islington</em></div>
<div style="outline: none;">
"I came as I had nothing else to do. Sometimes it feels worthless because we're always giving money and it seems to go to governments rather than those who need it, and the governments spend it on something else."</div>
<div style="outline: none;">
<em style="outline: none;">Zoe Batchelor, 27; Events worker from Notting Hill</em></div>
<div style="outline: none;">
"I'm here because corruption and the state of Africa always get on my nerves. A lot of people say we're shouting and nobody is going to listen, but I think God has the power to change the minds of those in charge."</div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Hey Guys,</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Just finished another stint on the fence (if you read my last post I was painting a very long fence.) still got another couple of days to do on it.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Just been down to Mold (Wales) to sell an old cast iron fire place which we ripped out of our house last year, but left hanging around in one of the bedrooms. Got a good price for it too, which is great, but another great thing was it gave us the idea of going to a car boot and getting rid of some other stuff. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">We've been running around the house like lunatics and have managed to get a large amount of stuff together. Its amazing the amount of junk that we all keep hold of when we don't really need it. Its nice weather out there to do a car boot and its also a great way of de-cluttering and making some cash to spend on new stuff (to not use).</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">I must say though that I am not one of those people who arrives at the car boot and gives the stuff away for nothing, hell no, I expect a fair price and I usually get it.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Well if your not doing nothing this weekend, have a looksee in your local newspaper and find where there is a car boot on, go and make some cash.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Story that caught my eye today was this one. </span><br />
<br />
<br />
<h1 class="itemReviewed XXXL" itemprop="name" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 32px; letter-spacing: -1px; line-height: 1em; margin: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 8px; vertical-align: top;">

Are Google's glasses more than just a gimmick?</h2>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, arial, sans-serif; line-height: 20px; width: 480px;">
Back in early 2012, before the world had heard of Google Glass, the tech world was ablaze with <a data-articleid="1061466" href="http://www.techradar.com/news/world-of-tech/forget-google-goggles-google-ar-glasses-are-incoming-1061466" style="color: #0099cc; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">rumours</a> that the search giant was beavering away on augmented reality goggles.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, arial, sans-serif; line-height: 20px; margin-top: 10px; width: 480px;">
As the days went by, it was clear that not only was this true, but that Google's dream of wearable technology was far, far closer to release than anyone would have guessed.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, arial, sans-serif; line-height: 20px; margin-top: 10px; width: 480px;">
Roll forward just over a year and the <a data-articleid="1144815" href="http://www.techradar.com/news/world-of-tech/future-tech/google-glass-ready-to-hop-off-production-line-1144815" style="color: #0099cc; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">first versions are in the hands of developers</a> who went into a <a data-articleid="1141304" href="http://www.techradar.com/news/world-of-tech/future-tech/google-glass-gives-then-takes-away-when-it-comes-to-explorer-edition-winners-1141304" style="color: #0099cc; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">lottery to fork out $1,500</a> for their own pair of spectacles.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, arial, sans-serif; line-height: 20px; margin-top: 10px; width: 480px;">
TechRadar has had time with the <a data-articleid="1152283" href="http://www.techradar.com/reviews/gadgets/google-glass-1152283/review" style="color: #0099cc; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">Google Glass Explorer</a>so you can find plenty more information right there.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, arial, sans-serif; line-height: 20px; margin-top: 10px; width: 480px;">
But what exactly is Google Glass? Why is it attracting all this attention and what are the implications - both good and bad - of having a Google-eye view of the world?</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, arial, sans-serif; line-height: 20px; margin-top: 10px; width: 480px;">

</div>
<h3 style="font-size: 20px; line-height: 1em; margin: 20px 0px 10px; padding-bottom: 10px; width: 480px;">
What is Google Glass?</h3>
<div style="font-size: 14px; width: 480px;">
Google Glass is an attempt to free data from desktop computers and portable devices like phones and tablets, and place it right in front of your eyes.</div>
<div style="font-size: 14px; margin-top: 10px; width: 480px;">
Essentially, Google Glass is a camera, display, touchpad, battery and microphone built into spectacle frames so that you can perch a display in your field of vision, film, take pictures, search and translate on the go.</div>
<div style="font-size: 14px; margin-top: 10px; width: 480px;">
The principle is one that has been around for years in science fiction, and more recently it's become a slightly clunky reality. In fact, the "heads-up display" putting data in your field of vision became a reality as early as 1900 when the reflector sight was invented.</div>
<div style="font-size: 14px; margin-top: 10px; width: 480px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-size: 14px; margin-top: 10px; width: 480px;">
</div>
<div style="font-size: 14px; margin-top: 10px; width: 480px;">
Google Glass uses display technology instead to put data in front (or at least, to the upper right) of your vision courtesy of a prism screen. This is designed to be easily seen without obstructing your view. <a data-articleid="1144865" href="http://www.techradar.com/news/video/google-glass-specs-revealed-as-android-app-goes-live-1144865" style="color: #0099cc; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">According to Google</a> the display is "the equivalent of a 25-inch high definition screen from eight feet away". There's no official word on native resolution, but 640 x 360 has been widely mooted.</div>
<div style="font-size: 14px; margin-top: 10px; width: 480px;">
Overlaying data into your vision has obvious benefits; many of which are already functional in Google Glass. Directions become more intuitive (although it sounds like there is no GPS on board so you will have to pair it with your phone), you can view real-time translations or transcriptions of what is being said, and you can scroll through and reply to messages - all on the fly.</div>
<div style="font-size: 14px; margin-top: 10px; width: 480px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-size: 14px; margin-top: 10px; width: 480px;">
</div>
<div style="font-size: 14px; margin-top: 10px; width: 480px;">
The embedded camera obviously does not need a viewfinder because it is simply recording your first-person perspective, allowing you to take snaps or footage of what you are actually seeing.</div>
<div style="font-size: 14px; margin-top: 10px; width: 480px;">
Any function that requires you to look at a screen could be put in front of you.</div>
<div style="font-size: 14px; margin-top: 10px; width: 480px;">
Controlling this data is the next neat trick. With a microphone and touchpad on one arm of the frame, you can select what you want to do with a brief gesture or by talking to the device, and Google Glass will interpret your commands.</div>
<div style="font-size: 14px; margin-top: 10px; width: 480px;">
Google Glass can also provide sound, with bone-induction technology confirmed. This vibrates your skull to create sound, which is both more grisly sounding and much less cumbersome than traditional headphones.</div>
<h3 style="font-size: 20px; line-height: 1em; margin: 20px 0px 10px; padding-bottom: 10px; width: 480px;">
What can Google Glass do?</h3>
<div style="font-size: 14px; width: 480px;">
As well as Google's own list of features, the early apps for Google Glass provide a neat glimpse into the potential of the headset.</div>
<div style="font-size: 14px; margin-top: 10px; width: 480px;">
As well as <a data-articleid="1077900" href="http://www.techradar.com/news/world-of-tech/google-glass-shown-off-again-new-features-revealed-1077900" style="color: #0099cc; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">photos and film</a> - which require no explanation - you can use the Google hangout software to video conference with your friends and show them what you're looking at.</div>
<div style="font-size: 14px; margin-top: 10px; width: 480px;">
You'll also be able to use Google Maps to get directions, although with GPS absent from the spec list, you'll need to tether Glass to your phone.</div>
<div style="font-size: 14px; margin-top: 10px; width: 480px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-size: 14px; margin-top: 10px; width: 480px;">
</div>
<div style="font-size: 14px; width: 480px;">
To do that, Google offers the MyGlass app. This pairs your headset with an Android phone. As well as sharing GPS data, this means messages can be received, viewed on the display, and answered using the microphone and Google's voice-to-text functionality.</div>
<div style="font-size: 14px; margin-top: 10px; width: 480px;">
Google has given its Glass project a big boost by <a data-articleid="1137234" href="http://www.techradar.com/news/internet/did-google-just-buy-project-glass-s-ultimate-weapon-1137234" style="color: #0099cc; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">snapping up voice specialists DNNresearch</a>.</div>
<div style="font-size: 14px; margin-top: 10px; width: 480px;">
That functionality will also bring the ability to translate the words being spoken to you into your own language on the display. Obviously you'll need a WiFi connection or a hefty data plan if you're in another country, but it's certainly a neat trick if it works.</div>
<div style="font-size: 14px; margin-top: 10px; width: 480px;">
<a data-articleid="1136852" href="http://www.techradar.com/news/world-of-tech/future-tech/what-s-glass-without-apps-google-reveals-first-third-party-entrants-1136852" style="color: #0099cc; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">Third parties</a> are also already developing some rather cool/scary apps for Google Glass - including one that allows you to <a data-articleid="1136323" href="http://www.techradar.com/news/portable-devices/other-devices/how-google-glass-will-identify-your-friends-in-a-crowd-1136323" style="color: #0099cc; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">identify your friends in a crowd</a>, and another that allows you to <a data-articleid="1136852" href="http://www.techradar.com/news/world-of-tech/future-tech/what-s-glass-without-apps-google-reveals-first-third-party-entrants-1136852" style="color: #0099cc; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none;">dictate an email</a>.</div>
<div style="font-size: 14px; margin-top: 10px; width: 480px;">
The New York Times app gives an idea how news will be displayed when it's asked for: a headline, byline, appropriate image and number of hours since the article was published are displayed.</div>
<div style="font-size: 14px; margin-top: 10px; width: 480px;">
<br /></div>

<span style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></span></h4>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<h4>
<span style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">Well its another sunny day here in the hills of </span>Wales <span style="font-weight: normal;">and it looks like its going to hold out for another week or so at the least, but hold on that's not really a good thing, why? </span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">Because there is a lot of wooden fencing in </span>Wales <span style="font-weight: normal;">and most of it is in our garden and worst of all it needs treating. My wonderful girlfriend has been checking that weather forecast as regular as clockwork in order to nail me down to carry out the devilish task.</span><br /></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">I wouldn't mind if the fence was just getting painted in the same colour all the way, oh no that would be way too easy. There is a trestle running along the top of it and that must, yes MUST go in cream, the rest of the fence is going in green. So have to take my time as we don't want the cream running on to the green, do we?</span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">There is also a gazebo that need painting (can we call it painting just for the sake of this blog? Thank you!!) with the same aforementioned colours, however, this has three huge tressels on each side that will need extra careful attention. It doesn't matter how much you try and switch off when you are doing this sort of work, it is incredibly mind numbing, and makes you want to pull your hair out. I would sooner be in front of the computer writing my next book, my next best seller.<br /></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Well the missus is up in bed at the moment and I am down tryna do my computer thing before she comes and gets me with the fence painting materials. I am a llittle down yes, but there is one thing I have to admit, it does look good when its done and thats what its all about really.<br /></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">I want to start adding interesting news story that caught my eye in my blogs so here we go.<br /></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Its not all doom and gloom but today I was reading about Syrian Unrest<br /></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">The US has condemned the </span>Syrian <span style="font-weight: normal;">military's attack on Qusair, a strategic town over which it gained control after a bloody siege.</span><br /><span style="font-weight: normal;"><br /></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">The </span>White House <span style="font-weight: normal;">also called on Iran and its Lebanese ally Hezbollah to withdraw fighters from Syria, where they have been helping government troops.</span><br /><span style="font-weight: normal;">A BBC team that visited Qusair found that it was in ruins.</span><br /><span style="font-weight: normal;"><br /></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">Meanwhile, France said growing proof of chemical weapons use in </span>Syria <span style="font-weight: normal;">"obliges the international community to act".</span><br /><span style="font-weight: normal;"><br /></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">However, </span>President Francois Hollande <span style="font-weight: normal;">cautioned: "We can only act within the framework of international law".</span><br /><span style="font-weight: normal;"><br /></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">He spoke hours after Syrian </span>government <span style="font-weight: normal;">forces retook full control of Qusair, after fierce fighting lasting some three weeks.</span><br /><span style="font-weight: normal;"><br /></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">A team from the BBC were the first Western journalists to reach the city, and said they did not see a single building that had escaped damage.</span><br /><span style="font-weight: normal;"><br /></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">More than 80,000 people have been killed in Syria and more than 1.5 million have fled the country since an uprising against President Bashar al-Assad began in 2011, according to UN estimates.</span><br /><span style="font-weight: normal;"><br /></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">International efforts to resolve the conflict continue, but the US and Russia have failed to set a date for proposed peace talks.</span><br /><span style="font-weight: normal;"><br /></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">The UN and Arab League envoy to Syria, Lakhdar Brahimi, said the international conference might now be held in July, rather than June as had been planned.</span><br /><span style="font-weight: normal;"><br /></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">He called the lack of agreement between Washington and </span>Moscow <span style="font-weight: normal;">"embarrassing", but also noted that neither side in the Syrian conflict was ready to commit to attending.</span></span><span class="cross-head" style="color: #505050; display: block; line-height: 16px; margin: 0px 0px 16px; text-rendering: optimizelegibility;"><span style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Humanitarian concern</span></span></span><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">Qusair lies only 10km (6 miles) from the Lebanese border and is close to important supply routes for both the government and rebels.</span><br /><span style="font-weight: normal;">It had been the focus of fighting between rebels and troops backed by a pro-government militia and fighters from </span>Hezbollah<span style="font-weight: normal;">, the militant </span>Lebanese <span style="font-weight: normal;">Shia Islamist group allied with Iran.</span><br /></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Syrian state TV reported on Wednesday that a large number of rebels had died and many others had surrendered as troops advanced swiftly.<br />The rebels said they withdrew overnight in the face of a massive assault.<br /></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">The town where 30,000 people once lived is now all but deserted by civilians, reports the BBC's Lyse Doucet, who was taken to Qusair by the Syrian government.<br /></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">She says both Syrian troops and </span>Hezbollah<span style="font-weight: normal;"> fighters were everywhere - travelling in trucks and armoured vehicles, firing guns in celebration and moving on foot through the streets.</span><br /></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">White House<span style="font-weight: normal;"> spokesman Jay Carney said: "We remain very concerned, and we condemn in the strongest possible terms the Assad regime's assault on Qusair," he said.</span><br /><span style="font-weight: normal;"><br /></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">"It is clear that the regime is unable to contest the opposition's control of a place like Qusair on their own, and that is why they are dependent on Hezbollah and Iran to do their work for them."</span><br /><span style="font-weight: normal;"><br /></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">A White House statement said that "Hezbollah and Iran should immediately withdraw their fighters from Syria", and called on all parties to allow humanitarian agencies safe access to the area.</span><br /><span style="font-weight: normal;"><br /></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">Hezbollah - or the Party of God - is a political and military organisation in Lebanon made up mainly of </span>Shia Muslims<span style="font-weight: normal;">. It emerged with financial backing from Iran in the early 1980s and has always been a close ally of Syria's.</span><br /><span style="font-weight: normal;"><br /></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">While Iran politically and militarily backs the Syrian government, but it is not clear that Iranian forces were on the ground during the battle for Qusair.</span><br /><span style="font-weight: normal;">The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has said it fears there are shortages of food, water and medical supplies in Qusair.</span><br /><span style="font-weight: normal;"><br /></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">George Sabra, the interim chairman of the main opposition alliance, the National Coalition, said there were hundreds of injured people awaiting help in the Qusair area and called on the Red Cross to be allowed access.</span><br /><span style="font-weight: normal;"><br /></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">Correspondents say the battle for Qusair has highlighted Hezbollah's growing role in the Syrian conflict - a development that has heightened sectarian tensions in the wider region.</span><br /><span style="font-weight: normal;"><br /></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">Late on Wednesday Lebanese media said that several rockets had landed in the Hezbollah stronghold of Baalbek inside Lebanon. Earlier this week, the leader of the main umbrella of rebel forces said his men were ready to fight inside </span>Lebanon<span style="font-weight: normal;">.</span></span><span class="cross-head" style="color: #505050; display: block; line-height: 16px; margin: 0px 0px 16px; text-rendering: optimizelegibility;"><span style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Sarin 'used'</span></span></span><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">In </span>Paris<span style="font-weight: normal;">, Mr Hollande told reporters: "We have the elements which now allow us to give certainty over the use of chemical weapons in Syria - at what level we still do not know.</span><br /><span style="font-weight: normal;">"What has happened in Syria must be one more piece of pressure that can be put on the Syrian regime and its allies."</span><br /><span style="font-weight: normal;"><br /></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">His comments followed those of French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius, who revealed on Tuesday that samples taken from locations of alleged chemical weapon attacks in Syria, including Saraqeb and Jobar, and brought to </span>France <span style="font-weight: normal;">had tested positive for the nerve agent, </span>sarin<span style="font-weight: normal;">.</span><br /><span style="font-weight: normal;"><br /></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">Mr Fabius said he had "no doubt" that </span>sarin <span style="font-weight: normal;">had been used by "the Syrian regime and its accomplices", but did not specify instances of its use. The US says more proof is needed.</span><br /><span style="font-weight: normal;"><br /></span></span></h4>
<h4>
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">The Syrian government has repeatedly denied using chemical weapons, and has in turn accused the rebels of doing so, an allegation that they have also rejected.</span></span></h4>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Well the first thing I want to say is hello. so Hello!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">How big should a blog post be? I dunno really, its just like asking how long is a piece of string.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">I suppose I should begin by telling you a little bit about myself, well some of the good bits anyway. I was Born in UK, and have lived in many different parts of the world. I am Qualified in IT, Gas Engineering (that's probably the reason for my book, <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fault-Finding-Boilers-Simple-ebook/dp/B008WBQ2VK" target="_blank">Fault Finding Boilers Made Simple</a>.), administration genius (though I would prefer not to go back into an office EVER AGAIN,) love my art, both looking at it and creating it, my favourite medium is oil paint. I am a wonderful painter and decorator, and eater of cakes. Sweets are my Achilles heel, especially boiled sweets, and jellies, once the pack is opened I cannot put it down.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">I am a passionate writer, and I would like to think that I am getting better all of the time. I have some wonderful books, already written, and in the pipeline, books that I am sure are going to be a real success. Yes success is part of what you write for, but it is also a wonderful way of expressing yourself.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">I thought that using oils on canvass was a great platform for being creative, but it has nothing on writing everything has taken a back seat to writing now, even my golf, those poor clubs don't get a look in. Well anyway, this was just an initial hello, just to get my blog up and running, so stay safe and keep it real.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
